Ad of the Month - Helpful

I love this ad, it made me laugh out loud. If we admit it, most of us really don’t understand the latest technology, at least those of us older than 30. It’s daunting to enter a store and appear stupid when asking about the latest gadgets. For businesses that sell gadgets, this becomes a barrier to sales.

Cost vs Price - A Case Study

I recently purchased a video recorder from a well known electrical goods outlet. It was a big name brand with great features and a huge improvement on our old one which was nearly 10 years old and was now becoming unreliable. It was a good unit, but now was old, tired and out of date, and was not a great match to our spiffy new TV.

The Interest Cover Ratio is EBIT / Interest, where EBIT is Earnings before Interest and Tax. What this ratio indicates is how easily the business can cover the interest payments for any debt they are carrying.
