Great post, I often feel like many of the tasks
I do online are like grunt work, and like you I agree
it was not the way I wanted to run an online business,
I wanted everything more easy and automated.
The 2 out 3 rule sounds good to me, I will be implementing that now,
I was never sure what ratio to use for mailings.
I have tried, failed and gave up, but now I am back to try again,
with a new passion so hopefully I can find the way that works for me this time,
thanks for this post, it really helped me

I strongly believe that this is true. I take every piece of advice from my customers and friends very seriously and apply it to my business, then always measure the effectiveness. If you don't change the way you do business it will not change and will not grow. Always review your service and products, offload the products that don't sell and replace it with others that do. Slow moving products only hold your cash flow. Test the market place, find the recipe that makes your product sell and refine it. Never stop to invest in software, it is what will run your business more effectively to free up more of your time. If there is any task that you can automate with a computer program, do it and do it well. This is the most satisfying part of my business, to write software that automatically handle day to day tasks.
