The ad I selected this month has a fantastic call to action. This office supplies business is having a 15% off sale. Normally, when a store is having a sale, they just send a flyer, or perhaps even vouchers, and we know what happens to them!
Instead, OfficeMax sent a bag which says on the side “15% off everything that you can fit in this bag”, and in case you think this might exclude some items you really want, it makes it clear their electronics goods are included.
Office Max has challenged you – “How much can you fit in this bag?” How can you resist such a challenge? How can you now resist going into the store and show them just how much you can get into that bag!
So OK you might just go in for the lap-top, but would you just leave the store with the laptop? Might you get some accessories, and while you are there, don’t you need some more pens, and post-it notes. In fact, aren’t you going to cram as much as you can in that bag? And do you really think they will mind at the checkout if your bag is overflowing?
How motivating can you make your call to action?
