Having done your online search, you have found what you believe you have been looking for. Then you click on the link, and do you get the information you are seeking? All sorts of marketing then starts to block your path to content. What does this say about your business?
In this Adobe ad, their focus was on how the world sees your customer service. This can not only be annoying, but in some cases, life threatening as these two guys discovered. Sometimes you can over market, and if your content is a real point of difference for you, too many marketing barriers may just make customers click away in frustration. Have you got the balance right?
