Recently I was contacted by a business owner needing assistance, and after a short introductory conversation, where we agreed a further course of action, I asked her (as I hope you ask all your enquirers) “How did you hear of me?”
She then laughed, and blurted out, “From a psychic!”
So what happened next? She started browsing the internet for ideas and assistance. She stumbled across my website, which contained the kind of ideas and strategies for which she had been searching. Then she checked out my About page, and discovered I was indeed an older man.
So the psychic predicted me, and Google found me. Now I must admit I was sceptical about psychics in the past, but now I am a believer!
Of course, she could also have been told by a friend, look for someone who has been in business many years, with lots of experience, who gives advice to businesses like yours. This would have been a sound suggestion coming from anyone, let alone a psychic. ‘Experienced’ would have implied ‘older’ and I suspect there are more male coaches, although there is no shortage of good female coaches if the person had a preference.
The real secret to my psychic success, is twofold; being found in Google, and once found, demonstrating to website visitors that I have the solutions for which they have been looking.
If I was younger, and female, would she have contacted me? I think if the content was right, the answer would probably have been yes. The psychic endorsement was just a nudge, one I couldn’t have predicted (so I guess that means I’m not psychic).
So even if you aren’t an older man, following these two steps will generate enquiries.
I won’t be changing my lead generation strategy to a focus on psychics, but I will continue to ensure that the website is psychic ready. What are you doing to make your business psychic ready, that is reading the minds and answering the questions that your enquirers have?
